Latest Updates from Our Project:

New Print Add-On!
about 7 years ago – Wed, Feb 15, 2017 at 07:40:03 AM

Good morning!

Just a quick update today.

We are currently a little over $1,000 to unlocking the coloring book! Keep spreading the word all over social media and we should get there in no time.

New Print!

We've added a new print to the add-on line-up already available. Check it out!

Adding this print to your current pledge is easy. Click the green button that says "Manage your pledge" and add $15 to the amount you've already pledged. Or take a look through the rest of the Add-Ons and grab a few more goodies.

Live Broadcasts

This Friday afternoon we'll be doing a live drawing with Q&A right here on Kickstarter. Make sure to visit the page while it is happening and ask us all your burning questions or tell us what you want to see drawn.

Our friend Jose Fernandez from Jose's Art Cave will be doing some live coloring of a few characters from Dusk. I think you'll want to check it out so make sure to follow his Periscope or Twitter to be alerted when he goes live.

Thanks again so much for all of your support. We are truly honored to have all of you as friends and fans.

All the best!

$6,000 and climbing!
about 7 years ago – Mon, Feb 13, 2017 at 06:48:28 PM

We broke $6,000 over the weekend! That's a thousand more than we hoped for. All of which goes towards improving the books and making sure you get something awesome.

Thank you all so much for helping us get to this point. Now, to sweeten the pot!

Dusk Art by Kody Chamberlain!

Our good friend and fellow Acadiana comic artist/writer, Kody Chamberlain, gave us this outstanding illustration of Dusk's grizzled detective, Eddie!

Kody's creator-owned series Sweets: A New Orleans Crime Story is a must read. He has too many accomplishments to list and if you aren't currently a fan, I highly suggest you fix that. Find out more and sign-up for his newsletter here.

New Stretch Goal!

We've made an adjustment to the stretch goal to unlock the coloring book. Instead of Facebook shares (which you can, please, continue to do, thankyou thankyou thankyou!) we are going to set the coloring book to unlock at $7,500. And we are so close! Take a look at the mockup below. This will only be available through the Kickstarter, so help us reach that goal and add it to your order!

Add-Ons Explained

So the coloring book will be available as an add-on. With that in mind, we've updated the explanation of how to get add-ons. Here's how to do it in 5 simple steps!

  • 1. Take a look at what is available.
  • 2. Decide what you want. (all of it, probably)
  • 3. Total up the prices of each item.
  • 4. Add the total to your pledge amount.
  • 5. Sit back and relax. (optional)

You'll receive a survey after the Kickstarter has finished in March. We'll ask you which items you want. Your items will ship out once we've gotten them back from the printer. The books will take the longest, but they will totally be worth it. Right now we're optimistic that we can have your order on its way by June.

As always, we cannot thank you enough for all your support. We'll be doing some fun stuff between now and the end of the campaign so make sure to skim these updates for details.

Keep spreading the word and we'll unlock those coloring books in no time!

Thanks!

Great progress!

120 Backers! Over $5,800 raised!

You guys are simply amazing.

Thank you all so much for your time and support of Dusk. We can't wait to get these books into your hands. In the meantime, we are doing everything we can to make sure that Dusk's first graphic novel is of the highest quality.

We're going to be making a few more announcements leading up to the end of the campaign including a new stretch goal that might help us bridge the gap to those hardcover editions. We'll also be explaining the Add-On system a little more clearly for those of you looking to get some more goodies!

Keep spreading the word and have a great weekend!

Update 2: We Made It!
about 7 years ago – Mon, Feb 06, 2017 at 10:47:03 AM

In less than 5 days we reached our goal of $5,000 thanks to all of you who pledged and shared the project. We cannot thank you enough for your support.

Early Bird Pricing Extended!

First off, we want to let you know that we are extending Early Bird Pricing for the Softcover. So if you know someone who was on the fence, tell them to pledge now before the price goes back up.

Hardcover Stretch Goal

With all of February left we are now keeping our fingers crossed to reach our first stretch goal of $13,000. This will allow us to offer hardcover editions of the book with brand new cover art. Please continue to share the project with your friends so we can keep up this momentum. With your help I know we can make it happen.

We've been lucky enough to have Chris Gianiloni ofVile Media and Canvas By Chris as a friend for the past few years. He was awesome enough to give us his rendition of Eddie and we wanted to share it with you. Make sure to check out his unique style and follow him on Facebook and his Instagram, which he has been filling with amazing art daily.

In the news
